There is a second type of situation that may arise when we have contact with parents and caregivers whose children are involved in a bullying situation. In these cases, we may perceive that a parent or caregiver is not advocating for their child, placing us in the role of advocate for our student. In such situations, we may perceive that our student’s wellbeing is at risk and that she or he is in need of protection.
